A Journey to the Center of the Earth is a wonderful and fantastic tale of a team of scientists who travel to the center of the Earth. This is a fantastic book to use in sixth grade science when teaching the layers of the Earth. So many students ask questions about what is in there that this fantasy really makes them excited. This is a perfect book for any girls or boys who appreciate an adventure story. Children also love to hear about Jules Verne and how he got the ideas for his science fiction stories because it came from his sense of wonder just like them.
