The Black Stallion is a classic survival story about a boy and his horse, perfect for elementary or middle school students. The Black Stallion was also made into a movie which was one of my childhood favorites. If you like horses and the story of the Black Stallion, you are in luck because it is part of a series. Although the main character in this book is a young boy, both boys and girls alike will love the book and movie, The Black Stallion.
